Installing subs into a stock stereo setup
#11
Well I did the install thinking my friend had a real sub amp to run the subs since he had a setup once before in his accord with this amp and some 12's, and well amp has a LP filter on it but its non adjustable so it kinda sounds like crap, Im going to try to find him a real amp aswell, but will look into the LOC
Stuart.... Working on the same car setup LOL...... With the install of the LOC I would just run the facroty wires into the LOC and then the RCA's out of it to the amp correct, as simple as that? Also what LOC did you use?
I used the Low In Connector on the amp to do the install..... I presume the LOC takes the amplification out of the factory sepaker setup?
Will the LOC from Canadian tire work? The Stiner one listed seems like its for non amped, not sure about the crappy tire one either tho.... I dont know where to get the other LOC thats listed.... Need it kinda somewhat ASAP...
Here is the LOC that Crappy Tire Sells
American International LC300CL Highlights :
American International LC300CL Line Out Converter
# Converts standard 3 -7 watt output radios into low-level output
# Fully adjustable to match any low level input amplifier

I just got done doing an install like that in my friends 02 buick. He used a blue mechanizm thinger (lol forgot what it was called) that he bought off of cardomain for like $20. I just cut into the left rear speaker and hooked that up and it gave him rca outputs. But that thing was a bitch to install. They are cheaply made, it works, but holy crap I got pissed off at it.

I got a 4 channel LOC at best buy. it does any level in to any line out.
It does remote on, antenna, delay remote on, RCA or pairs out. Separate level control for each channel.
I couldn't believe it was so easy to install.
$ 39.95
If you go get it now you'll have it done by midnight.
