installation injures...

on friday i was in a rather odd mood and decided to work on my kick pannels in my garage. to make a long story short a piece of wood pushed my index and middle fingers through a router bit at full speed. i didn't know what happened until i saw the puddle of blood on the floor. my index has 6 cuts (equaly spaced and sequentially larger) while my middle finger has 7 cuts, 3 of which were so deep that it made the flesh hang off it. i tried to rearrange all the pieces but they did not go back in straight (no stiches btw, i can't stand stiches!!!).
so now i'm out of commission for a while (not to mention this is my writing hand so paperwork is a serious beatch!).
anybody else have injuries to share?

other then raw fingertips from sanding, and some burns from pulling a grounded out live wire from a car before it caught fire.... nope, but i did manage to cut 2 fingers pretty good while relighting my water heater on friday morning....

Split my thumb nail in half once (doing brute force and ignorance stuff).
Most recently while soldering in the black car at night (it was VERY dark I was cradling a flashlight between my shoulder and my chin), and cradling my midwoofer between my legs I was trying to solder with my left hand... finding that difficult I decided to switch the iron from my left to right hand when I quickly realized the part of the soldering iron I grabbed was not the nice cool handle but the shaft near the tip. I must have had a small brain fart because my solution was to drop the iron onto my lap. 3 weeks later all is well.

Shot a pin inside my finger with a nail gun, after it vibrated the bone for a few seconds it hurt like hell......................
Huge solder splatters down the arm when under a dash..................
Drilling holes in metal only to break the bit and send the drill and bit through your finger

I work in a field where safety is very heavily promoted....kind of carries over to my home projects.
Most of the time I just get scrapes on my hands. But lately I've been wearing Mechnix gloves to work on the car and I'm injury free.
Other things I always use deppending on the task:
Safety glasses, gloves, knee pads, hearing protection, protective barriers. (Ie saw guards, cardboard for soldering.)
All pieces that I work on are usually clamped or secured so that the above doesn't happen. I never use my body to apply pressure to a tool and my workpiece at the same time. (Ie. holding a piece of wood while moving the router on it)
I realize I'm preaching a bit here...but getting hurt sucks.
