Inline Fuse Questions

I'm trying to figure out what I need to get for inline fuses. I'm running my single 12 inch sub off a Hifonics Brutus 1200.1D (900W RMS @ 2 ohm) and my 3-ways off a Vibe Audio Blackbox (2x110W @ 4 ohm).

I'm planning to run 0/1 awg power wire from the battery to a distribution block in the trunk splitting to 2x 4 awg to the amps. I'm also running 0/1 awg ground wire from the battery to a second distribution block in the trunk splitting to 2x 4 awg ground wires to the amps.

If I apply the following equation: 2 x total rms / 13.8 I get around 163 amps for the entire system.

Questions:

1.) Placing an inline fuse on the power wire close to the battery. How high should the amps be on this?

2.) Do I need an inline fuse on the ground wire near the battery?

3.) Do I need inline fuses before the distribution blocks and if not, where should I be putting more? Should these be the same amperage as the ones near the battery?

I'm buying an Optima battery for under the hood and doing a Big 3 Upgrade first.

I know very little about electrical, just what I've been reading and this is my first system, first installation and I really need some help so any recommendations would be great. Thanks.

1 What do yo u mean by "how high the amps should be"?

2 Ground wires don't carry current so they don't need fuses.

3 You should put fuses after the distribution block, before the amps. However there are fused distibution blocks which is what you should get. You don't need an inline fuse going to every amp, but each amp must be fused. Get a fused distribution block. Fuse at battery is usually 250 amps, fuse before amps is usually 80 amps
