Yes it is hard to see

It's only an enclosure in the sense that it's a sealed unit, but it's my trunk.
Did it cause I though that it would look cool and give me some trunk room
It performs like a massive sealed box with GREAT lows but leaves the rest sounding mediocre. If I find interest here I'm Gonna do on demand videos via YouTube along with more detailed videos to clarify everything tell me specifically what u want to see and I'll show you

I suggest making a huge slot port on the drivers side would be loud as hell

i have considered that but if it didnt work out i would have to make a new baffle. i have also considered a Aperiodic vented box
this is not mine obviously but great example let me know what u think.

wont let me put a link untill i have more posts. my email is bdsauve@gmail.com email me for the links to the page or google "AP enclosure"

i could adapt this to have 3 sides vented and keep my contact with my big box but it woud make it more resistive.

good idea or what?

how is that infinite baffle???????

your trunk is like a big sealed box

you'd be MUCH better off with a smaller ported box.

Infinite baffle is essentially having an enclosure large enough to allow the woofer to play without rear cone pressure from the enclosure. Yes the trunk will act as barriers so to speak, but there is SO much air volume that it is really no longer a sealed box, technically. There aren't many woofers out there today that are suited for an IB set-up.

I agree that you are more suited to a smaller vented enclosure for output if thats what you are after.

Infinite baffle is super inefficient but plays flat(according to woofer characteristics) and allows you to hear the woofer not the enclosure. So a super compliant woofer is really needed to make this work.

And you cant really tune a sealed/IB enclosure.

pffffffffff which side of the cone is the "rear" side? cmon

his trunk is very far from "infinite baffle" especially for that size of a driver. there may be a better arguement if it was like an 8 inch driver...........but with a 15 this is not even close to infinite baffle.
