Hi, I just bought an ipod and I would like to install it into my car. I have a kenwood deck in a 98 accord. It has a changer input that I currently have a changer hooked up. How do I go about installing an ipod into my car. I have done some research and I found some items that I can use. But I was wondring if anyone knows somewhere in the city that I can pick these items rather than ordering from the US.
http://www.installer.com/aux/index.html It seems to be good but does not offer any control.

Whereas, http://www.logjamelectronics.com/ipodproducts.html
Has everything you could want but is very expensive.
Does anyone have anyone how has the stuff. I think I could hook it up myself if I had the parts.
Thanks
G

How about an auxillary input?

Alpine just came out with (or will be releasing shortly) a controller that lets you run the ipod from the deck.. .being as the ipod is the walkman/discman of the mp3 age, I would expect that other head unit companies will release similar units soon. So if you wait a while, kenwood might have something that'll plug into your deck and interface with the ipod

djcake- I know about those. I was looking for a hardwired option.

wade- I saw the new alpine controller. Great product; wish I had an alpine deck and my problems would be solved. But I got my kenwood and I don't think I will get rid of it soon. So i will have to wait and see what kenwood comes out with.

pinhead- Thanks I found the same thing. I think I will go with it. It looks the most reasonable. I tried the itrip and the quality was crap. Definitely not work it. I only need to source a company in the gta that carry it.
Thx

Get the AUX adapter for your headunit and plug the ipod in that way.

I have the iPOD dock and it connects to my deck's aux input.

When I had my old Eclipse ECD-415 I bought a RF PA2 preamp/eq(in-dash) and connected the iPOD thru it's aux input.

Now that I have the new deck; the PA2 is for sale.

good luck!
