I need some advice on what to use in my install

Hi all, new to the forum, just wanted to know where to proceed in my install. First I have an 02 Ram Quad cab 2500. Just so you know it takes 6.5's in the rear doors and 6x9's in the front. That is kind of odd but that is how it is. Anyway I have a set of 6.5 Soundstream exact components I was thinking about in the rear with the tweets also in the rear. I have a set of 6x9 Pyle's two ways and an extra set of tweeters (Alpine) I have two Rockford Fosgate Punch 400 Amps as well as a Kicker 5 channel. I also have RF 10" Subs and a 12" Polk Audio Sub. I don't think I will use the Kicker Amp as it is too big to put anywhere. I would like to know if the 6x9's in the front with a set of tweeters would be OK. I have an Alpine active crossover to separate the freq. Also can I run a "pass thru" cable to use for the sub or should I run from the head unit? I forgot to mention my HU is a Premier 840 with 4v preout and a bunch of gizmo's probably not needed but it does a good job. Any advice on the set up would be appreciated. Also would it be smart to run the 6.5's for the front channel and feed the rear to the 6x9's?

I would make a circular cut-out for the front 6x9's - so they'll fit 6.5's (another set of Soundstream exact). That way, you don't use Pyle 6x9's, and you wire front to front & rear to rear.

I would power the sub(s) (either 1 10, 2 10, 1 12) with the two RF 400's (800W RMS?), the Kickers 1-4 channels powering 4 6.5" door speakers, and the Kickers 5th channel powernig 2 tweeters. You may not be able to wire it up exactly how you want it so we need to know the models of the amp & subs. If you get 2 8" mids, I would (try to) use the Kickers 5th channel to power them, and have the HU powering the tweeters.

I'm not sure if you can use one crossover for two speakers (left & right seperated).

Trouble is there is no room to mount three amps, I am having trouble scrounging room for the two Rockfords. I also didn't want to buy more speakers, I know Pyle is not by far the best but gotta be better than the stock. I do have a set of 5.25 component Alpines, not sure if that would be a better choice than the Pyle's What do you think about that?

Surely the Alpine's would be way better than Pyle 6x9's. 6x9's suck, and Pyle does too. Make a 5.25" cut out. You could have yourself a well balanced system with the Kicker amp running sub(s) on the 5th channel. I would power the 4 speakers with the other 4 channels, and power the tweeters with the HU. If you think you'll ever upgrade the sub(s), keep the two RF amps.

Where are the amps going?

Can you mount 3 amps under the rear seat, make the sub box smaller, and use one 10 or 12 in a ported box? Hopefully one of those subs can handle, and the amps put out 800W @ 1 ohm or even better a lesser ohm. Can you stack the amps to gain more sub box space? You do have space, you just have to get creative/practical. I would mount the 2 RF amps inside the back of the front seats, with a plexiglass view. That's kind of out-there though. It would atleast keep your back warmer on the cold days.

I saw 2 years ago that Alpine has some mini amps that are unattractive that might do the trick they are tiny powerful and are ugly enough you will want to hide them

Well It is my work truck so filling the cab up with gear may be a problem. The reason I like the Fosgates are they are small and well protected with end caps. I think I can get them behind the rear seat back. I do not think the kicker would like it there. With two Fosgates that gives me 8 channels. One amp for the four door speakers and one sub for the one/two subs. The subs are in a box so I can take them out and leave in the shop if I need too. That is what I was thinking anyway. My big issue is speaker use. I just don't know about those Pyle's at all. Maybe the Soundstreams in the rear and the 5.25's in the front.
