an amp that would work perfect is the MTX 4001, bridged at 2 ohm the RMS rating is around 250

bridging

using 2 chanelel of an amp using a positive of one channel of the amp and a negative of the other channel.
my personal opion I always get the maximum amp wire it to run at mid point rms for sq for cruizing.
then i have the power to run the spl lane.

BE CAREFULL! always follow the manual when you bridge. Some amps are wired differently and you need to connect Pos and Pos for bridging.

That's ok - he doesn't understand it either. The MTX 4001 is a one channel amp..
