how would i do it?

i'm not saying i don't trust you, but in my experience it has done absolutely nothing for my system. i used to be part of the caps are great team, but now not so much. maybe a huge cap, but even then your alt has to recharge the cap because the loss in stored energy has to be replaced, and because the cap will not drain completely your battery may still have to pick up the slack, which i tihnk is what happened in my case. i'm now a big 3 promoter so i say do that.

The value of a cap has been discussed to death.....most systems benefit far more from the "Big 3" than they do from a cap. Replacing the battery and/or the alt are second steps if the wiring upgrade is not enough to kep the headlights from dimming.
Caps are expensive band-aids for electrical system inadequacies....however they do make pretty voltmeters, which you can see working if you drive while sitting in your trunk......

i would have to say the cap is only good for the first big bass hit then after it has to charge back but, in reality it will not be able to charge back fast enough for the second bass it so if u are burping ur car it has its up (but depends on the size of the cap) i just think its easier to move ur front battery to the back it will act the same way...

If your only running an 800 Watt amp you really shouldn't be having electrical issues. 'Big 3' should be all you need to run your system properly. If not, then forget your caps and new battery, get a HO Alternator then a battery if your still having issues. But be sure to upgrade your car's wiring first. If you want to run your system with the car off for long periods of time then consider multiple batteries. But running under 2kwrms with the car on shouldn't require multiple batteries.

all good man just wanted to know the year and make for my own benefit to help you out, I would upgrade you factory grounds first of all, basically get rid off whats there and put new ones in use 4 guage ground cable and keep them as short as possible but enough for vehicle flex and remember don't put them on painted surfaces !!!!! power your factory alternator with 4 guage power wire as well that factory power wire isn't acceptable for your aftermarket application. As for your cap, what are the fuse ratings of your amps and how long is your power wire going to them? and where are your amps grounded to and how long is the cable?
