How we did.

So in the qualifying round at the Hat we did 137.8.
Then Rob V.O. fnially showed up and I asked if he had any recomendations. He said we should reduce port area a bit and lower our note. We did that and hit 141.8. Next round we moved the box to 10 inches away from the back wall. That dropped the score a bit. Our final run was 142.8 vs. 143.9 in the finals so we got second place. After the comp was over we used the meter to play lower notes and did 143 even at 51 hz.
Yesterday the owner and my installer went to Lethbridge. They hit a high of 143.5 with even less port area than the previous day. They came in second by beating out another CRX by .1 dB. They lost in the final to a CRX that did 149.?.
So here are the plans for the car.
1. Rebuild the box with:
a. a divider down the middle
b. aero ports
2. Add another MTX 81000D
3. New battery (he has an all factory charging system right now)
4. New alternator

Yes, it is the tuning, although area of the port will have an effect on the velocity of the air through the port as well.
We are going to do what I posted above, we will find a meter somewhere and do some testing. As for the box right now, it is your basic 29x29x14 outside dimension CRX box. It has a slot port 27.5 by about 3.25 inches, approx 12 inches long (we changed it twice now so I am not sure of exact size). It is one common chamber, with some rounded edges internally.

DWVW, i really, really dont mean to be a dick BUT i got to ask, with this score are u putting up or shutting up?
Oh and since u guys love these 'Put up or Shut up' posts i got a few of my own comming up REAL soon. As soon as the cars i worked on make it to an actual db drag. I already know what they hit but i dont want to post scores that were done on my termlab, lets make it a show score.

Also you said being loud proves nothing, it's getting higher and higher numbers that's important. Well the numbers have been getting higher with every run, and they will get higher again for the next show we make it to. [img]graemlins/wavey.gif[/img]

nothing personal but i find that in the pm's u gently punked me off.....i dont know what it is but thats the vibe i got. yah im down to offer any help but with the recent events on here and all the shiit talking behind my back (yes i do now) seems that my help is not really wanted. oh well.
yah i did say tha the challange is to keep going up in score, thats what it is to ME.....is that what it is to YOU as well?......reason i ask this is b/c it doesnt seem like it.
i still wish u luck with this project, and hope u can do well. As I said i've got some 'put up or shut up' posts of my won comming real soon. You can be a dick to me in those as I am to you in yours.
