How much to fiberglass a dashkit (faceplate)

How much would it roughly cost to fiberglass a faceplate like the one in the picture? Ideally it should be color matched as close as possible...the one in picture look crappy. If you are a vendor, please pm me.

there's no kit for this gen's BMW yet. Only kits are from Japan, and u can try guessing how much they cost. Not the typical $10-30 Metra on ebay.

I think I could do it.
I'd like to see what is in behind there to attach the aftermarket deck to though before I said yes or no.
Also does it have to be fiberglass? as there are other options.

yea, you don't have to fiberglass it...how ever paint that along with a few other interior parts would make that stand out like there's no tomorrow. but you could prob form a sheet of ABS plastic and make a dash kit that way. it would prob be a lil quicker and easyer then trying to fiberglass something. doesn't look like it would be that hard of a job....just time consuming to make everything fit like stock.

$150-250 depending on what's left of the hole when the stock deck is removed.

It's just a preference, but if abs + paint cost as much as fiberglass, I'd prefer to fiberglass and make sure it's 100% perfect fit. After all, who wants a fugly looking faceplate in a BMW?

hey...just a thought...i work at a machine shop here in alberta.......if a customer posed this ? to us, it cost about $150 all said and done, max. just make sure you make a accurate cardboard template of what you want/need then any fab. shop in your area can wip somthing up to your specs.....then you can finish it to your liking...vinal/paint etc. actually more like $100 come to think of it...if u do the "finguring" out of exact template for the shop jocks. just a thought
