How do i install 2 Amps in my Car?

Since adding the splitter divides the power between the 2 sets, they would both be more susceptible to picking up noise along the way. In either case you will need to raise the gains a little on each amp to compensate for the lower voltage.

Not sure what you mean by a distributer box, but if the HU only has one set of RCAs splitting the signal at the back of the vehicle is better for SQ.

anyways I'm using one(distributer block) to run 2 amps(one for subs and one for the front stage)
The sub amp is only 300rms and the other 60x2rms ......is the distib. a bad choice?...should I run another power cable straight from the bat?
and..should I get rid of the second rca and use a splitter...which incidetally I bought originally but then heard the sound quality suffers.
The hu has 2 pre-outs...why not use them?

pretty sure my original post said distributer block..not box.

1: As long as the power cable is large enough (4ga is fine ) for what you're running now, don't worry about running another one.
2: By all means use both sets of RCAs....the more control you have over the sound the better.....
Glad we (I) got this straight......

not sure i understand what you mean by "subs are going to hit at different times, causing a weird sound". Why would they hit at different times? The reason you don't use different size subs is one will cancel the other out. Since a 10 and 12 will hit the same frequencies and since the 12 is bigger it'll be louder canceling the 10 out. Now if you cross the 10 say from 60hz and up and cross the 12 at 60hz and down it would work cause they're both playing different frequencies therefore not canceling eachother out. hth
