No the gain is a setting on the amp, it'll be labeled as level, sensitvity or something like that. From what I can see on those speakers they have a cap on them that they're using as a filter for the tweeter. I'd hook them up just like the jl book says. The crossover is part of the ~5ft harness

ok, just went to JL's site, and you don't get xovers with them...

Natural roll-off low pass (woofer), 1st order high-pass circuit with electrolytic capacitor on tweeter. Polyswitch tweeter protection.

connect them as pictured.. if you have 2 sets of wires in the speaker location, and behind the deck, pick ONE set, and hook them up in series.

sry, Mark

I hit google, and this is what came up first, Amazon.co.uk: JL Audio TR650CSI 6.5" TR Series Component: Electronics & Photo ; should have looked on jl's site... they are different in the above link. in the other pictures they have listed, you can see they are from the ZR line, not the TR line.

Hey,

Thanks guys! So... When I bought the truck the previous owner had the speakers running off and amp. Would he of just been giving the factory speakers more power? What's the point in that?

That being said, I'd assume the right connections (most likely just one) would be in the speaker location.

Hey,

Sorry to keep asking questions and I'm sure they are pretty dumb questions at that...

But, I found the specs for my amp and am just wondering if it will be fine with my speakers?

Someone clarified gain for me, thank you. So there will be a dial or something of the sort on my Concept amp that I can adjust?

Thanks for your time!

Mitch

yes, it should work, if you take a close up of the dials on the amp, or list what they say on them I could help you figure out what they mean.
