Help installing head unit in 97 Civic
#11
i had to get a trim kit for mine... well I got a neon but still! any audio shop will have em.
And the resistance on cutting the wires is NOT worth it! the 12$ harness is a thing of beauty and the way to go. I get really pissed off when I pull a deck outta a car for someone and find some dumb $hit cut the factory wires and messed things up, such as me having to re run wire for speakers and such as a hack job was done and wires are kicking deck into protect! Not to mention how many ppl change decks as for better features or stuff happens, wires get shorter as they get cut for different things! Its common sense

It was just my opinion about hard wiring. If you can get a $12 harness go for it- my step brothers harness was $70. And I never ordered one. I like hard connection better- wires do get shorter by like 1cm each time you change the deck. So it's not a huge deal.... It's just my preference, you don't have to listen to me.
