Help installing cd deck

I have a 1998 dodge neon, and a pyramid cd deck. Im almost 100% sure all the wires are hooked up properly but im still not getting power to the deck. Im thinking its the fuses but i dont have the car manual, so im not sure what kind of fuses i need.

Any help?

hey my wife's got a '98 neon. Your fuses are right inside where the door closes on the drivers side, just left of the steering wheel facing outside the car. I think it's a 15a fuse or something, but if I were you I'd run a new constant from the battery to the deck. Stock wiring in a neon is actually pretty poor. Not that that deck will have any problems requiring alot of voltage, but my 16v pre-out eclipse does.

Also pyramid has a not-so-great reputation, and if you bought the deck from someone who didn't show it to you working it may be a bad deck

Check the fuse on the back of the deck if there is one, and then check the fuse in the box. The fuse layout is on the inside of the fuse cover door.

Did You Use A Wiring Harness Or Did You Wire The Deck Directly To The Existing Wires. One Of The Most Common Problems That I Have Come Across Is That People Do Not Realize That Tgere Is No Ground Wire In Most Dodge Products, Only A Big Thick Ground Strap, So You Either Have To Find A New Ground Location Or Else Ground Out Your Deck To The Big Thick Silver Ground Strap.

damn i was forgetting so many things yesterday!
Your ground is not connected to the wiring harness as he said, but you've just got to clip it and attach it to your HU ground. On the neon it's just a big black wire about 16gauge, with a spade connector on the end of it. Clip off the spade connector, strip the wire and attach it.

i was wondering about that because it seemed like there was a spot for it at the back of the new deck. So i need to cut that black wire and just attach it to the ground on the new deck?
