help with capacitor screws

help with capacitor screws

im looking for screws that go on the top of my capacitor that holds down the positive and negative wires,,,,,,,,,,i have one of those capacitors that looks like a large D battery(best way to describe it),,,,,or can i just go to the home depot and find anything that will thread into it,,,,,,

because they are metric, you can buy them from lightning audio and stinger in a package.

They have to be gold.....if they are not shinny enough they wont work!

Not all of them are metric. I had an old Phoenix Gold cap, looks like a battery, no display, and it's thread is a 1/4- 28 (thats 1/4" with fine threads)
Stainless Steel bolts work fine.
The 2 caps i have now, one has Metric posts, M8-1.50 (had to buy nuts, got the nylon thread lock type) and the other has Allen socket head cap screws, looks like an M6-1.25
Home depot & Lowes aren't good with metric. Canadian Tire or any auto supply have a much better selection.
