Get 2 12s man, I honestly think you will like 12s. 2 Kicker L7's would be nice.

'Punchiness' is more dependent on box design not the diameter of the sub. What is your budget for this system? That will really determine what you will buy. Kicker makes very good entry level stuff and of course they have that square stuff that everyone loves. I like to use Cerwin Vega, Polk, Mach 5 Audio and Elemental Designs for example. Using 4 10's is fine if you want to go that way, but using 2 12's as Fusion suggested or even 2 15's will sound good too.

so your pretty much telling me that 4 10"s is kind of a stupid idea becauseof the cost factor. and that 12"s or 15"s would be better. are those square subs any better or worse. the reason i wanted to todo the 4 10"s is because i have to take out the baack seat to do this and if im losing my back seat i want fill up that space but im open to ideas.

The square subs are Kicker L5/L7's and yes they are good. You can get 4 10s if you want to spend the money, but with 4 subs you will need more power, and might not be louder than 2 12s or 2 15s.

L5's and L7's are good but I would never pay a premium for them and beyond the hype and wow factor there's not much else. What brand catches your eye? and why?
