At this point, if you can't figure it out...take it to a professinal. And yes, the shifter not in park is 90% of the issues when installing the radio...

All problems solved. I got my dad to boost the car, and it worked fine. I plugged the harnesses in, and that worked fine. I hooked up my subs/amp, and they work fine. Now, all i have to do is buy some more wire (the harnesses dont reach to the spot where the deck has to go), and figure out how to get the deck in the spot its supposed to go (theres a piece of metal that help up the cassette player, and i think its preventing the deck from going in as far as it should). Anyways, thanks to all that helped.

I dont know what i did, but i think i ****ed it up pretty good. Also, when i disconnected the car's harness, the radio was on, so maybe thats what f***ed it up. I need to get it to start though - what did i do??
nothing in a 94 regal to do with the deck will stop it from running! however u did say u r not stupid but yet how long was the door open on the car u were working on? all u need to do is charge the car. Your dome light killed what is probably a week battery to begin with! the guy who sugested park was just tring to help not to offend. i hate it when people can't take critasism after asking a question.

Yeah man it sounds like your battery is dead when ever i work on a car that i know has a bad battery i always pull the interiour fuse so the battery doesn't die.

just charge her up and see what goes.

anyways this is the harness you used right

Yeah 'cavy man14', thats the harness i used. i used to have a '93 grand am, and i kept the harness from that (GM uses the same harnesses in most of their cars). i just never thought that the cars harness would be where i found it (passenger side plugged into that silver box thingy). now i just need an antenna adaptor and i'll probably have to extend that wires as well. I got the deck in no problem though, and everything works fine (except the battery is dead). its going to get certified this week sometime so i'll get him to check the battery - make sure its okay.
