well according to the guys on the grand am board they say its the best spot basically just undo it slip it in there bolt it down because its to unpainted spot of steel for the frame. this is underneath the back bench seat.
bad spot or what?
if so i have mine there and its working fine... and same goes for about 10 or 20 other ppl on the grand am owners club board.

i hve never been a fan or going to seat belt bolts first off your putting added stress on the bolt because its out farther second the teminal acts llike a washer, so over time of having the seat belt moved it will eventually back its self out, usually we polis of an area under the seat and use a carrige bolt through the body then paint it to protect it from rust.

now you have to runs on 0/1ga............ really a ground should be no more than 14 " and the same gauge as the power. if you think that you are having ground issues to begin with then replacing the crappy stock ground and straps that are on the chassie is a much beter idea....... but thats really IMO
