Ground to car or neg term on battery??
Hey there. The battery in my car is actually under the rear seat so it wouldn't be a problem at all to ground the system back to the neg terminal on the car battery.
Question is, would it make any difference whatsoever?
Thanks!!!

I'm actually doing some work on researching the alt right now. I can't find any model numbers on it so I can't verify whether or not I've got a 90 amp or the larger 140 from bosch. They are both available as direct bolt in models.
There's a snout and everything on the alt itself. Do you have experience with these alts? Should I be worried?
Thanks

i think the 735 had a 90 and the 750 i would say had the 140
but i do not know
i would test it to see
that car will tell you fast if it do not get the power it likes
i think it has a 0 g wire to the battery form the alt
have you looked at roadfly.com look at E32 and ask in there how to tell about the alt

Thanks zzzzzzzzz
THere is a 0 guage already in there as well as 0 guage ground from Battery to body.
The 735 itself also offers the 140 without having to worry about compatibility issues. The M30 6 cylinder motors have different alts than the V8 and V12 motors. They are not the same alt as per the BMW TIS (technical information system) that I've got. That is not to say that they are not switchable however....
