140dB ?!? Holy crap, I don't know many people (who aren't deaf) that would be able to tolerate that ... and even the deaf ones would have a hard time breathing. That's not loud, that's SPL competition ... are we in the right forum here?
lols, i got so many people telling me different things, 3 ppl say the setup i picked is good, 3 ppl say its , 3 ppl are tryin to get me to buy subs ive never heard of, i just need someone who has a NICE sound system to talk to me 1 on 1 and get me filled in, the correct way.

i just want something like this

its not rocket surgery...if you have a big amp trying to pull current from a battery bank which is empty (low current, causing low voltage) you will run into major problems.

140 db really isnt very loud at all. It doesnt take much at all to hit 140 if you have a decent enclosure. Have you ever had a loud setup?

Okay, I think we are starting to get somewhere now. If you think that 140dB isn't very loud, then you and I definately have different opinions of what loud is. Honestly, the only setup I have ever had that I considered loud enough was the one in my '94 Sunbird. The Rav4 needs a better sub, and my truck is still running the stock components in the doors. The Caprice ... well that's just a project waiting to happen. SPL doesn't thrill me, I just want it to still sound great when turned up.

Your original question was answered, and your follow up questions have been discussed. A number of options have been offered, yet you still don't seem to be satisfied. What can we say that will help you?

Go ahead and buy the equipment you originally listed, but understand that it will not be able to function anywhere near it's rated performance without spending a good deal of money upgrading your electrical system.
If you want to maintain a budget of $500, buy something equivalent to what was suggested earlier.

I don't see what else can be said "on topic"
There are literally thousands of combinations to choose from given the parameters of: sub(s), amp, LOUDDD<!!, <$500
Surely you don't expect people to attempt listing them all.

^^agree...i gave you a lot of very good information privately as well...all of which is proven, tested and used by myself on a daily basis for years (actually more than 2 decades now)...all you're going to get now is personal preferences from every responder. The basics are the same...decent brand name subs, the right box for them, and an amp in the rms power range of the subs will get you loud, clear bass. If you're not willing to do serious electrical upgrades to your car, then get a system in the power range that will work with your oem system...typically under 1 kw for most oem systems not being pounded constantly...if you want to drive around shaking your car apart and getting deaf..then you have to do electrical upgrades..alt, battery, big 3, 0 awg etc...you have all the info you need to get a system now.
