Fuses don't protect wires from getting hot, they protect wires when they accidentally short to ground and BURN YOUR CAR UP if you don't have a fuse.

i guess i dont have to worry about a short since everything is permanent installed and all the wires are safe and far from a ground but still ill put one anyway lol

here is my 2 cents.
between your alternator install a fuse.
from your front battery (at your battery) install a circuit breaker before it goes to the trunk.
At the rear or trunk install a fuse block going from 4 gauge to 8 gauge all fused right before your amps.
Better safe than sorry.
that's the old school way and I think it still stands true in my opinion.
