It's been fun helping to put this together......lots of space in some areas, others, not so much....

Not sure of the exact depth on the speakers, with 3/4" rings the backs clear the glass by around 3/8" or so.......

Speaker hole in the metal was covered in deadener, plate attached then cut out the hole.....had to "massage" the metal to clear the basket but they are in there for keeps......

Should be interesting when the new ones go in.....the back of the drivers are frickin' huge and I may need to "massage" some more......

x2 huge difference, they sound like new speakers. It almost seems like my sub is quieter due to the extra midbass now. Going to have to retune now.

Yeah what BigRedGuy said. LOL Thanks

I can't wait to hear those Clarions. You had them JL's hitting pretty good.
Thanks bro, are you making the trek down on June 14th? We can definately talk about the JL's once the new ones are in. The cones on the Clarions even match my subs.

I noticed that they matched. COOL and very NIIICE!! Too bad they will be hiding all stealth like. No one will be able to see them beauties. Well maybe through the door grills. We can looky, but no touchy! lol Don't forget the nice shinny pic of them in the door.

June 14th ... where is that show happening? Ya June 14th sounds good. I haven't even bought the wood yet for my new enclosure. Definitely what to talk about those old JL's.

June 14th show is about 5 mins from the Timmies we met at before the drive to Lindsay. I may take the plunge finally and attempt a FG door panel build. Might have to do a removable grill for those babies though. Yeah cell phone takes decent pics, so I will be taking lots from here on in.

Fiberglass door panels eh?....

And here I thought once we get the Clarions in we'd be finished......

I guess this means I'm off to Home Depot for more stuff....woo hoo!!

I'll let you know as soon as I have them in my grubby little mitts, hopefully by the end of this week.
