so i went today and bought resin, fibreglass and fleece... aswell as some MDF, and a spiral saw dealy.....
got the mdf mounts made up for my amps, cut a couple rings for the subs..... gotta re do those cus some how they ended up too big so ill go tomorrow and pick up another 2x4" sheet....
im surprised how well the mastercraft rotozip deally cuts thru MDF i was a lil worried, so i figure tomorrow morning ill have at least all the framework done up, and im hoping for a layer of glass wish me luck

so spiral saws and myself = no where near straight lines.... i hate framing, and i wanted to put a hammer thru my subs.... i need proper tools IE circular saw, drill, jigsaw and more MDF......
so far ive spent like $400 on tools and materials, and all the work i have to show so far is 2 sub rings that are horribly cut..... and a couple pieces of MDF cut to fit where i wanna mount my amps....
it would have been cheaper to have this professionally done for fack sake.... but in the end ill have the pride of being able to say
"it was hell.... but i did it myself"

for straight cuts, you could try clamping a straight edge to the piece, at the distance from the edge of the fence on your spiral saw to the cut line.. then you could run the base of the spiral saw up against the straight edge to get a straight cut. did you make a circle jig for cutting the rings?

Get a router. It can do just about anything. If you have basic straight cuts to do and you dont have the equipment to do it. Try and get you local hardware store to do it for you. Just make sure to have the correct measurments. Too bad you arent closer, I have a shop and could cut all that sutff for you.
Good luck.
Good luck.

the dealy came with a circle jig, but the first ring was a lil too small so i had to shave a bit off it...
thing about gettin a store to cut it, i dont have any kinda designs, its basically measure space in hatch, cut piece to fit, and like i said i suck at frame work, which is basically the biggest part of makin this box..... ill get good at it.... or destroy the rain forest trying...
oh did i mention i have no tools? no work bench, and 2 really cheap clamps.... stuff tends to move a lil when u cant clamp it proper and u have no help.... this is a logans fault... what kinda jerk has a cell phone and turns it off??? when I NEED TO get a hold of him....
