Fiberglassing - what cloth and resin do you use?
#1
I am going to be doing my first fiberglassing project and i am just wondering if anyone knows where I can get some good resin and good cloth at a decent price in Toronto? Also, what kind of cloth do you guys use...I was going to use speaker cloth...hearing a lot of people use that...or something similar.
thanks in advance.

i would do the stretch with fleece, mix rage gold body filler in with your resin and catalyst a mix of 10-15% rage to resin mix is what i use , and reinforce from the backside of the stretch, NEVER EVER reinforce from the front. i use non waxed resin with mekp catalyst. get the proper measring tools to get the right mixture and your good to go

its really not complicated at all, im use rage because it very good and works very well for me, is it exspensive, not really, you shouldnt need much, say 60-70 for all you need to do what you are doing. adding the rage isnt done by everyone, but its the method i prefer

One other question...do you guys think it is better to vinyl the door or paint it? I know the new thing is to paint everything for the glass look. Also, anyone know where I can get good information on sound staging?
