F250 CC Sub Install

Just wondering if anyone has installed a sub in between the front seats of a F250 crew cab before. That is, removing the center seat, and some of the frame work, but keeping the console/arm rest in between the seats. (Bench front seat)
If so what size of sub did you use, or what is the biggest you can put in there, 12, 15 or 18"????
I'm lookin to do that, but the box is goin be no wider than that space, and possibly all the way back to the rear seats and to the front cig. tray. (What ever the size of box the sub needs).
I want to keep the truck seating for four adults, just using the center for the box, if you can catch my drift. I also would like to use a ported box also.
I haven't got a sub yet, so what ever size i can fit, the bigger the better!!!

Anyone info that can help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mech.

Lightbulb

Why not just get the premade MTX Thunderform for it? http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products...0X00_specs.pdf

Otherwise, a single 12 or pair of 10s is about all I would consider for a console box.

I'm lookin' to get somethin' that I can run about 1000rms@1ohm through. The MTX and JL pre-made boxes for my application (Super Crew) don't have that kind of power rating for the subs they are made for.
I want to keep the area under and behind the seats open to mount the amps, (Memphis pr1000d, 16-mc300) and to store misc. stuff.
So a custom install is what I'm prob goin' do, I want it to look good.
So any suggestions for subs, size and brand, will be greatly appreciated. Keeping in mind the room I have to use.
Cheers,

I did exactly what you described in my 06 F250. I ripped the console out of the back of that flip down front seat and sunk it in to a 1.5 cuft box that is almost the exact size/shape of the old seat when it was folded down. I am using a 15" L5 firing downward. Looks factory. I'll post a pic later.
