I'm looking at a used set of JLAudio 10w3d4 subs (dual 4 ohm coils) and I have a wiring question for you guys. Is it possible to only use one of the two coils? I need 2 four ohm loads with planned amp configuration. Will all the Thiele/Small parameters still be the same if only 1 coil in powered? Will it still have the same power rating? Will it still have good output?

Thanks in advance - this is the first time I will have worked with DVC subs so any help would be appreciated.

Also what would you guys consider a fair price to be on these? They're about 1.5 years old and looks like they are not v2 (the VC cover is convex).

Thanks for the reply Haunz...I dug around on the JL site and found an FAQ that doesn't recommend it. I just remember a friend doing this once.

Anyone with an idea on a fair used price on these?

Mark
