drilling holes in mirror

Home depot (ect) has em... not the easiest material to drill through though... even with the proper bits...

Yeah I would think a diamond-tipped bit would be required or whatever is listed as acceptable for glass. And I believe you follow the same technique as with plexi in that you tape the area you drill in order to avoid cracking.

Yes. Tape the area you are drilling so as not too tear the mirrored backing around the hole your drilling. Use the correct bit or go to a glass shop and have them drill the holes for you. Usually a half sack will get them to drill a dozen or so holes. [img]graemlins/beer.gif[/img]

saw the guy at crystal glass use a dremel. he said something about it needed to spin fast to avoid chips. i didnt bother to ask more than that
