someone correct me if im wrong but the DDin stereo is too large to put in a 1.5 or 1 Din. It wont fit. Unless mods are made to the face plate buts thats a different story.

you are correct. someone was explaining to me that there is a double din kit that will make it work in a 1.5 din car

can't really be done without extensive dash surgery in that car. to put it in perspective, the hole in your dash where the radio goes is 1.5 din, in order to put something bigger in a whole that is smaller = chopping out some of the dash. if you are looking at a double din unit, ie. a screen, you may wanna look at either a single din unit, or if you want, a deck AND a 1/2 din screen(a couple companies make this now) NEways, that's pretty much the only way a double din unit is gonna work in your car, If someone is trying to sell you a "KIT" to magically make a hole bigger, sign me up I want a whole bunch. I'll store them next to my wood stretcher, and left handed hammer

your car is a 1.5 din opening if your car is a 99 you may be able to go to a auto wrecker and get the dash trim panel from a 2000 and up grand am they were DD you will have to cut out lots of the dash from the back but the new trim panel moves your heater controls down giving you a stock looking DD opening
