Dome Axials Suck
hey guys im new and had a few questions. i have MTX dome axials speakers TDX5x02 and TDX6902 and i really dont like them. they are good a low to mid volume but once my subs kick in they're gone. they crackle at highs and hum at lows. i was wondering if there was a way to seperate the tweeters and woofers? i'm cheap and currently out of money and a job and the car is being sold and the speakers are going with it so i don't want to spend money on it at the moment. i have some crossovers that i found in an old set of tower speakers and was going to set them up that way. is this in anyway possible?
thanks in advance for any replies.

well they are coaxial speakers right...so there is no way that you can separate them as far as i know. i believe coaxial speakers already have a LITTTLE crossover built into them! the only way to make them sound better is to get a little amp and AMP them!!

haha yea that was my next step (of many). but im very new and just learning basics, so heres another question. doesnt that mean putting more volume through the speakers and inturn making them (in my case) crackle more?!? or does the amp filter the sound?
