Basically what jstoner22 has described is this product is adding an emphasis region, the question that remains is is it a good emphasis? jstoner22 says he does not want the emphasis in his system! But it may help the next guy... it is a tone control for sure

this is true. it was simply not what i was looking for.
I think in a system with a dedicated midbass driver, i'd be singing a different tune. I've never used them, and now i know their effects and practical applications!.

I find they work to protect against the elements, but that's about it.
