crossover cutting out
#1
hey guys......I have a problem with my kenwood KEC-600 6 way crossover kicking out. I've had it for a year and 1/2 and never had a prob. I took my car to a stereo comp, and ever since then it's bin acting a little funny. this is what is doing......my stereo will be pounding fine...then all of the sudden the music will cut out, after a couple secounds you can hear the music just a little for a couple seconds, then the sound level will go back to normal.......I can be running it for 20 mins and it will cut out, then it will be fine for another half hour...sometimes it only stays on for 1 minute, or 10. just does it when ever.....I checked all power conections, ground, fuse, RCA connections. the only thing I haven't done yet is take the unit out and open it up.....anyone have any ideas??

Maybe even though the connections are good, there might be a break in one, or two of the power, or signal wires. When the bass is hitting, it might be seperating a wire that has a break in it.
