Just a note. I did not install the wiring or harness in this car. There was a kenwood and sony hu before. But i think i found something. I was looking in the hole in dash where all my wiring and rcas are today. Theres a thick black wire with ring on end just hanging there loose. Original ground? Should this be hooked up to chassis?

I cant stop playing with this thing. but its painfully cold outside. I might have found something. I bought new fuses for the deck and it didn't help. I checked every fuse in the car with a test light and theyre all good. I went under the hood and one checked out dead even though it looked good. I replace that and still nothing. now just on a whim I disconnected everything from the car harness and put the ignition on. I put test light to both the red and yellow wires on the car harness. the red wire lights up my tester and the yellow wire is dead. is the harness pooched. maybe I should try direct to fuse box and battery and see. maybe having all the power and amp speakers running through that harness cooked it. idk but ill see what I can find tomorrow and let you know

Yellow is your constant 12v and you must have that working. Must be a fuse or loose wiring.

Can you hook up the deck directly to the battery and try it? This will tell you if the deck is good. (red & yellow to battery +ve, and black to battery -ve), make sure you tape up the rest of wires on the deck harness, while doing this.

Also, you post some pics so we can see the actual wiring.
