cda 9855

Hi guys. new here. anyways I was putting together some alpine gear over time because I just wanted a decent sounding setup in my work car for commuting back and forth. I installed a cda 9855 alpine along with an alpine 4 channel and mono amp. everything was working cool after I finally fired everything up. I was fiddling with the deck settings and playing with the tilt and all that. I shut car off for like 10 seconds and when I turned ignition back on the deck no longer does anything. I don't know if its fried or something simple. the fuse in deck is ok and the stereo fuse in car is good. idk where to start.

Reset the deck and try again. Check user manual for procedure.

is there a fuse on the back? check that. I know a lot of the Alpine decks came with an inline fuse on the yellow wire as well.

That's a damn nice deck you have so I hope it's not pooched.

ya there is a fuse on both. they look good. is it possible to look ok and be pooched. if so I could change them out and see. I know im kind of heart broken the thing is awesome and I really was looking forward to it. I have a question, maybe what caused all this. idk but maybe. the car has front and rear speakers, decent ones and they were ran off a sony deck and a harness. just sony harness to car harness. what I was doing or trying was to run the front and rear of a amp in back. I ran the speaker wire from amp right to rear speakers easy. then I ran speaker wire for the fronts all the way from amp to the car harness so I could use existing wire in doors already. so the harness has speaker wires going back to amp as well as the red and yellow going to the back of alpine deck. is that the problem. should I have ran the yellow and red seperatly from the car harness with the front speaker connections. idk kind of bummed. I spent a lot of time outside in the freezing weather and end up with this. if the deck is pooched ill look for a good deck. I know where I can get a cda 7995 dead head for $50. only thing will that one get cooked too

Check the deck fuses with a multimeter (continuity), dont rely on looks. Report back and then we take it from there.
