Carbon Fiber ?? and stuff

As the title suggest's I'm looking into some carbon fiber. What I allways wanted to to instead of the fiberglass way. I allready have my stuff made in glass. What I was thinking of doing was to "top coat" the glass. Can this be done to get the desired "look". On another topic is there any 1 out there that knows of a vinal that looks/ feels like black wood. I need like 1ftx 4ft. Thought of going the real way just shopping for know. Thanks PM me or post! You can do a top layer in CF, but's it's pretty tricky to get the weave to look right on curvy parts. I would buy extra and practice first.

or buy fiberglass with the same weave as the carbon fiber to get a bit of practice... its quite a bit cheaper

The boss did a layer of CF on a box at work for two 15's, looks killer. I think he wet-sanded it to get a smooth finish, will try to get some pics one day. Industrial Plastics sells the carbon fiber, we get it for around $60 a yard, pricey stuff....

I just ordered a Kevlar and Carbon Fibre Hybrid for about $100/yd with shipping.

I'm not even going to screw with it, I have a local Fiberglass shop that will laminate the twill for me. I have been trying to locate a tip for my paint guns 2mm or larger but have been unsuccessful... and they work cheap
