The electrical on these van is weird, it can go from 13.4 to 14.7 and back to 13.4 and it goes like this forever, it's supposed to be a 140AMP alt but it look like the car itself already putting lots of stress on it...
When it will be less cold ill be doing some tests, the first one will be to unhook the alt from the circuit and see if the voltage stay the same, after that ill try with a fixed load and see how it goes from there...

Slaughter - haha.. i have the same problem even with my cap... just seems like a digital gauge show more than anything at the moment. i even have a new battery (nothing to get excited about... eliminator series from canadian tire) and my friend said that pretty much solved his problem! i swear some people think im flashin my lights at them if i get too close and then they return fire flickering their brake lights haha.
Lpchouinard - thats strange, oh well... they were meant to be family vehicles haha, i knew there was gonna be more to it then just installing some subwoofers and letting them pulsate.
Stephane - that box design is interesting, but i do agree with the others about the location. seatbelts have a little leeway before they lock (dunno if this was already considered), so it would be constantly moving around, i would imagine the box needs a firm platform to rock on. i have my third row seat taken out as well, and whenever i need more room for seating, i honestly just let my friends sit on the box as my amp and cap are under the second row (they just gotta watch their feet)... im not letting them sit back there ever again..

@Stephane
Maybe you could get a captain seat from the scrapyard and use this instead of the bench one... this will still give you an extra place and you will have room for the box

mine also flickers at high volume with 140amp alt stock. less with big 3 done now ... goes from 14.4 to 13.7. also have a good batt and will be going 160amp alt this summer.
its that dam engine that sucks up so much juice lmao. cause even with every light fan... anything that i can shut off it still does it. that engine is a power sucker.
if i can find someone willing to stick in 2 alts in there with a custom bracket i will pay to get it done. I NEED POWER lmao
