I would just tape the door off with packing tape, and brush PVA onto the tape. That should allow the bondo to release very easy. If you want you could also tape it off with masking tape, then spray glue foil over the tape.
One thing I would definately do though is to make some kind of 'skeleton' for the bondo to stick to, even if you are using kitty hair. Otherwise it would eventually crumble in larger areas.

You SQ types guys crack me up.
It's not like 2 foot spaces LMAO.
It's like 3/4" - 1/4" of gap varying in shape.
I'll just screw in a couple of screws for reinforcement and pour the bondo in!
BTW Whats PVA?

PVA is polyvinyl alcohol.

I thought you were going to do some crazy blending radii. You know to have smooth transitions.
