Optima, Kinetik, Interstate....there are more but these probably deserve to be at the top........

The dry cells are better used as add-on batteries than replacements for your starting battery.

Thumbs up

Those are brand names. Optima and Kinetik are dry cells made for car audio, Interstate makes better quality regular type batteries.

Dry cells, or deep cycle batteries are able to handle discharge and recharge cycles better than a lead acid battery. They are also marketed as marine batteries. Unless you are listening to your system for long periods of time with the engine off you should be fine with the strongest regular battery that will fit in your car.

One other thing.....doing the Big 3 will help maintain consistant voltage to your amps.

Are you adding a second battery or replacing the starter battery?

Also, how many watts is your system?

So at best you could pull less than 50amps probably... do you have that much voltage drop?
