what about the fact that most high end home systems use a ported design? I'll give you the last 2 points though. Personally, I like them both, and I've used both extensively. my overall preference is for ported designs though, as I've been able to get equivalent SQ (though different), and much better efficiency(can use a smaller amp and have less strain on the car's electrical system with similar or greater output). Case in point; I had a system with 2 12's in a sealed box driven by a 1000 watt amp that sounded very good, but was able to duplicate the output and SQ with a single 12 and only 300 watts in a ported design that actually sounds at least as good with a lower priced sub.

I just ordered a 4-Channel amp kit from knukonceptz, AND 100' of 16AWG speaker wire and total price in Canadian dollars was $100.

$25.00 for shipping.

Still, That's cheaper than a Stinger kit at Future Shop.

Once I get this stuff I will take some pics just for fun.
