Thanks for the offer but I am just having a basic sealed enclosure built to the proper spec's

Don't think I want to go ported this time.

Im considering going back but the lack of output compared to ported means i will end up doubleing up on my woofers in short order or going back to ported cause ive just gotten way to use to the output from the ported. I also use to think ported = fart box but a good box = far from the case. Ive also been playing with the idea of running IB but im not sure it will be what im looking for.

Back on topic though Scosche does make some decent stuff its just those kits at CT and walmart isnt it, and for OFC knu's prices seem pretty hard to beat.

Actually, I've never heard a custom ported box built.

The box I had before for my Infinity 10" was a prefab Bassworx box. Which I think was close to the correct specs but I don't remember.

i do not compete in sq first of ..

but have seen some sq cars in which all were sealed

but i have had both in the same car and prefer sealed
hit 135 sealed with 1-12 (not saying that is loud )

sealed no port noise , smoother bass and smaller footprint
but not as loud as ported

as for proof i cannot prove it
maybe who does compete can ..........

LOL, don't feel bad, I had a 10" in a sealed box that did 132, so no it's not loud, but it certainly fills out the low end nicely. At the power range I was running and the frequency range that the woofer was playing, sealed was the better option.

With ported boxes, there is no port noise if the box is built properly.

Smoother bass is arguable, but I won't do that to you

As for smaller footprint, I will agree simply because the rebuttle would take waaaay too long LOL Besides, generally speaking you're right.
