Another build, some more pics.....
So this friend of mine finally gets a toy to play with....a 1990 Accord sedan.
He calls me up and says, "I wanna put some audio in my new toy, got anything left?"
"Yes I do" I says....so he brings the car over....and over....and over.....
Took a few pics along the way.....hope I can get these links to work.....
Equipment consists of:
Deck: Kenwood KDC-MP345U
Fronts: Clarion SSS-601 comps
Front amp: Clarion DPX2251- benched it at 155W X 2 @ 4ohm stereo....
Rears: none....took out what was there, he can't hear them anymore anyways.....
Sub Amp: Kicker DX700
Subs: 3 JL 10W0-8s in a spec box
Wires, RCAs, deadener etc. etc.
Pics:
Doors all covered in shiny stuff:
How you use those little metal thingies that come with the comps:
Finished driver door:
Had a pic of the finished passenger door....it looks the same ssoooo.....
The sub box....Phase 1:
Phase 2:
2 amps to stash somewhere:
Toss the sub box and his stuff back in the trunk:
Sorry, no pics of the deck in the dash, just forgot to take any.....
It sounded pretty good right off the bat, there will be a tuning session in the driveway this weekend to tighten up a couple of issues......
He was so impressed he joined the board......I think I have turned another mild mannered suburbanite into a bass head.....
Thanks for looking......
