ANL Fuse Question

ANL Fuse Question
Hey guys,
Finally my amp is on it's way, so in the meantime I'm tring to get all the wiring I need together so when it gets here I'll be ready to install. I know I must place a fuse within a foot and a half of the battery. I'm going to go ANL type, but I don't know what fuse I should use for the amount of power I'll be running. The amp is a Kenwood 9152D, and will be running 900RMS and 1800 max. What size ANL fuse do I need? Also, any tips on wiring to save myself trouble would be appreciated. Thanks once again,
Hodder

Can't find a 60 Amp ANL fuse down here as of yet. However, I have a 150 amp that came witrh the holder. My question is, am I putting the amp at serious risk if I run that fuse until I find a 60 Amp? I mean, it is more than double what i should have in there, so am I better off just waiting, or am I good to pop that one in after I do the install?

The fuse that's going to be 18" from the battery is not there to protect your amp, your amp is being protected by the two 30 amp fuses built into it.
the fuse on the power wire is to protect your car from burning up in case of a short in the power wire, the 120 that came with the holder will be fine.

It's a 150 amp actually. Really? I was always under the assumption that the fuse protected the amp from say a powerspike, while doubling as protection from fire. If that's the case then I'm good to go then.

The 150 is fine. I see in your sig that you are using 0 gauge wire though, wouldn't say a 300 amp fuse be a little more in line with that? As previously mentioned the fuse is there to protect your car from molten copper and fire should you ever short the wire.

I actually have a 250 Amp as well, should I use that instead of the 150?
