amplifier placement on box
#11
with that in mind comes another question: my spare tire space (underneat an opening in my trunk bed) has room for my amp + cap, in fact i've placed them inside to see if it'd work
now im wondering would it overheat due to the covering over the top of it? also since winter is coming would it get too cold?

So you keep your amps outside of the car then?
Really, if the amp is in the car then it will be immersed in the soundwaves anyway and vibrated along with everything else in the car.
If the wall of the subwoofer enclosure vibrates that much more than anything else I think that is a bigger issue.
The spare tire well can work alright for an amp rack too. I've seen people stick amps in tighter spaces than that.

If its a custom box, Just add an extra sheet of mdx across the back wherte the amp will be mounted if your strapped for room in the trunk, that should keep the vibrations from damaging the amp.. cuz I know I double baffled the front of my box, and it doesn't vibrator nearly as much as the back which shakes like crazy. I'm sure it could help.
