amplifier placement on box
would it be possible to place my amp on the back on this box?
because of the way the box was made, I figured bass would be bouncing off the back wall and up the middle through the port, would this be bad for my amp if i mounted it there?
PS: dont take the sketch for real, i just did it now.... get the idea? birdseye view

I've always mounted my amps in many different ways. I ran a sony on the back of a box for a good couple years and nothing happened. Then the box and amp n everything slide out of my truck one year when I was drifting a corner hahaha and everything still worked fine but my awesome particleboard box broke a corner. It should be able to hack it. I've put them on the box, in front of the port, anywhere I had space really...just make sure all of your connections are tight.

Thats a very good point, you can say that for alot of thins, like obviously they wouldn't make an amp that can't take a good pounding of vibrations, on the back of the box or not, its still prone to vibrations, so why wouldn't be safe.. if future shop does it, why wouldn't you ..... lol

They do, the only reason i sadi better to be safe then sorry is, i have owned many amps, and my most expensive had to be repaired due to components falling off from the excessive vibrations. Now i keep my amps away from the box and soundwaves.

i have mounted amps on the roof , on the wheel well , on the boxs and have never had a problem with amps messing up. I own a boat with the amp resting on the side and it takes waves and the shock of that doesnt hurt the amps so i say put it on the box..... I put very expensive amps on a boxs all the time.
