Amp doing weird things. 06 Tiburon
Hey. question for everyone...
I moved my amp from under the seat to the trunk. Went from a line level adapter on my amp (I had a stock deck, now with one with RCA outs for sub control) . Hooked up the RCA's, ran everything to trunk.
Now - I hooked up amp, it turns on and everything. Hook up 1 ten inch woofer, works. Hook up 2nd ten inch. deck amplifier cuts out, it doesn't turn off, but just power cuts out.
Possibilities?
Bad amp? Bad ground? bad RCA's?

No it does not go into protection. I tried another amp, and it looks like the amp is the problem, I think it was trying to ground itself through the RCAs and was feeding back into the deck, causing the deck to go into "protection" and shut off the amp in the deck. I checked the impedance and it was reading at 4 ohms which has always been fine using the high level input.
I tried another amp, and it works just fine, so my conclusion is it's the RCA out on the amplifier. LOL
