amp cutting out problem

ok so i have my 2 subs parallel wired into a 2 ohm load and i have my 2 channel amp and i have it bridged into 1 channel and hooked up to my subs now everytime i turn them up a little to load the amp cuts out and will come back for a second and cut out again and continue to do this i was talking to a audiobahn tech about it and he said that my amp settings are probilly wrong because my amp and subs can both handel a 2 ohm load the tech has been a week and has still not got back to me so i was wondering if anyone knows how i should do my settings to fix this problem thanks alot

If a tech told you the subs "can handle a 2ohm load" im afraid, but first I would double check the the resistance of the woofers at the amp!

So you have a 2-channel amp, and your using it as a one channel to power a sub? What kind of sub and amp is it... Usually on 2 channel amps it has a "bridged mode" where you can use the 1st channels negative and the 2nd channels positive (I might have mixed them up, but use the farthest terminals apart.) Tell us the subs and amp and we will help.

What are the voice coil (independance ratings)? I would recommend you pick up a new amp, something that is 500-800watts RMS @ 1 or 2 ohms...

the amp is 1000x1 at 2 ohm mono and 500 x 2 at 2 ohm stereo so it is the right wattage

It should work, are the subs wired in parallel? The positives are connected to the positives and likewise with the negatives? The problem could be your ground of power connection, just wait for your local shop guy to get back.
