Am I wiring this right ?

I havent posted on this forum in almost 10 years ... Finally started to get some bump again... I think I'm stuck wiring...

2- 4 ohm DVC subs (massive audio Rw12's)
http://www.massiveaudio.com/store/pr...cat=278&page=1

1- 1ohm mono block amp (massive blade amp 1ohm )
http://www.massiveaudio.com/store/pr...cat=251&page=1

-wire from pos. to pos and neg to neg on each sub
- then take the pos from one voice coil and the neg from the other voice coil and out of box .Now each sub is 2ohm

twist the postive from each sub together and the neg together Now it should be 1ohm ...

But when I hook up my multi meter to it set it at the 20 ohm spot and check the pos/neg after twisted together its reading 2.4..2.5 ohms WTF?

Your method seems to be correct. Check the resistance when u put the two leads of your multimeter together. Subtract that from your 2.4. Check the readings on all of your voice coils just to make sure.

All positives together and all negatives together. Provided you have 4 four ohm coils that gives you one ohm. If you have eight ohm coils then it would be two ohms

Your multimeter is measuring the DC resistance, not the Impedance!
