Alpine Monitor Install Help

I installed a monitor/am/fm alpine unit and have a problem with the AUX1 input. After bypassing the security feature for the monitor all I get is a black screen. You could here the audio from the video source but no picture. I have tried this using a portable DVD player and a home DVD player and still no luck.

Tried contacting Alpine Tech help and they said to try grounding the negative (outside jacket of the video RCA). Tried that with no luck. Also read the manual from cover to cover.

Is there any setting that need to be changed beside the obvious turning the input on or do I need an mobile DVD player (made for automovite use)?

Thx

The correct way with the foot brake and parking brake connections (as per manual).

Double check that your by-pass connections are proper, I would personally get a pac tr-7, that will do the by-pass for you without having to engage the brake and e-brake.
