okay, so I finish the basic layout now, and find that there is ample room for 15's this is gonna be fun. Too bad i don't have a second m1000
Think it'll matter guys? its still 1000 watts.

One of the MRV-D1000's will work fine on the 15's, and in that Celica it will still get hella loud. In a perfect world, it would be cool to have two of the amps, but the one will work fine.
IMO I would do 1 15 with the full 1000 on it, over 2 15's with the same power. Either that or use 2 12's with the same power.

oh yeah he did mention that... like 4 cu ft or something lol
i dunno, the bragging rights on 2 15's in the trunk AND the power to move em might be enough hahaha, but i have to hear how it sounds compared to a 10 or 12" type r

heres where my hatemail begins....
went to california for a last attempt at a family holiday. I knew we were going about 6 months in advance, so i saved some money and contacted quite a few ebay sellers until i found one with the lowest price at the time, AND would allow pickup.
so, because it was vacation, and we were there for more than 4 days, we got $750CDN customs personal exemption PER person (my brother definately bought an amp, not that it matters, I had a second set of invoices *wink* with the shop owner's card attached in case of any customs issues), meaning duty free, only 8% tax, and no shipping charges.
Price came to $399USD for the MRD-M1000 and $300USD even for the MRV-F540
So, after all is clear, it was $1132CDN, $8 short of what the m1000 alone would have cost here, not including the 14.5% taxes.
The car was so packed i had to take em out of the boxes, toss the styro, fold the boxes, and i wrapped each amp in a fleece jacket. (didnt need em, it was like 38 degrees C. in cali)
so yeah, i saved a bundle.
if you know someone in oregon and are thinking of doing something similar, oregon has no sales taxes whatsoever.

hey guys, another question:
what is polycrete, i have read about it somewhere and it was used in the fleece as a replacement for the resin. does this hold any huge advantage over resin? any different precautions when sanding? is it just as strong?
the same questions apply to duraglass. what is it?

ok guys, just an update
just ordered the 15" type r's, and an amp controller.
the last few days ive been finally working on the box, got most of the framing for the enclosure, sub rings are glued together and curing for the next few days - doesnt matter since i'm waiting for the subs before routing the holes out, and they're gonna be a week or so.
