Heh, got all that stuff on boxing day, except for the deck (Alpine CDM-9815), its a year old now, is in great condition, and I'm tempted to sell it and get the 9833. I bought it right when it was released pretty much, paid 700 bucks for the deck + lots of extra work I didn't want to be doing, as I didnt know enough about stereo installation at the time.

My car's been parked since august, so the deck has barely been used. My friend has the phantomface unit WITH the built in amp, and I would say I prefer this model over the phantomface alpine decks just because the button layout is way easier to use, and it has a file browse function that doesn't cut the music while looking. Such a sweet unit.

Any offers on it?

Hey Peter, that 15 in a box yet?

I must hear it. This amp has been sitting in my room now, doing nothing but collectiong dust when it should be moving subs in a viscious manner.

Is there any chance you could opt for Type X components over Type R's?

hehe, funny you ask that, I would love to put type x comps in the front, and I've already purchased the type r's for the back. the type x comps wouldnt fit in the back anyway, unless i decided to scrap the original ported enclosures for the 6.5's in the back, and make some sort of bracket to hold them in place.

now for the more interesting part.
if i can get the money together, im gonna put the 3 way comps in the front. the stock system in front has room for all of it, with some modification to make room in the dash and the 3-way comps would fill the original holes for the 8's much better

the stock system was:
-8" subs in the doors
-4" component set in the dash and tweets opposing the side view mirrors
-6.5" comp sets in the back, tweeters peeking over the back seats on top of the shock posts.

I wouldnt even need a better amp, i bought the 540, and the certificate tests at 84.6wx4@4ohm

okay, so I finish the basic layout now, and find that there is ample room for 15's this is gonna be fun. Too bad i don't have a second m1000

Think it'll matter guys? its still 1000 watts.

As per your signature...
"Subs undetermined at this time, but will undoubtedly be Type-R's"

Well, I havent heard them yet, but go have a listen to the new Type-X subs.... If there anything like the 3 way comps I heard, they'll be great....

They only come in 10" or 12" however (DVC 4 ohm both) and have a high 1000W RMS power handling
