I recently had my local shop install a Viper 790VX in my 2003 Eclipse Spyder. He informed me that although Viper would operate most power trunk releases, it would not work on the Spyder.

Personally, I hate having to carry two remotes. Do I need to purchase another module or something from Directed Electronics, to make it operate?

Any guidance that you could supply is appreciated.

Thanks guys!

I took it to another shop today that was actually an authorized Viper dealer. They had the trunk working in no time.

What was frustrating was that the tech at the 2nd shop pointed out a few different things that the 1st shop did incorrectly.
